The Festival
Since it’s 2019 debut, Under the Big Sky Festival remains a dominant celebration of music, art, and the wild spirit of Montana, where country, Americana, outlaw and folk sounds come alive beneath the stunning Montana sky. Set on the picturesque Big Mountain Ranch in Whitefish Montana, this festival offers an outstanding lineup of top-tier artists, thrilling outdoor activities, shopping, hospitality and unforgettable experiences in the heart of Big Sky Country. This annual summer event attracts both locals and visitors from across the country who also take full advantage of the close by local businesses, outdoor playgrounds and UTBS after parties. Whether you're dancing to the beat of your favorite band along the refreshing creek, exploring scenic trails, enjoying the on-site rodeo or soaking up the vibrant atmosphere, every moment at Under the Big Sky pulses with excitement. It's more than a festival!
The Location
Under the Big Sky Festival is held at Big Mountain Ranch, a picturesque 300-acre property in Whitefish, Montana. Nestled in the heart of the Flathead Valley, the location offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, pristine landscapes and wide-open skies. The ranch’s expansive fields and natural beauty create a perfect backdrop for the festival, blending music and authentic Montana spirit and rugged charm. Downtown Whitefish and the Kalispell airport are just minutes away providing easy access to both the festival grounds and the vibrant local community. Furthermore, the venue is just under 30 miles from Glacier National Park and only a few hours drive from major universities including Montana State, University of Montana, Boise State, Eastern Washington, Washington State and BYU Idaho.
